Born Alan John Scrafton 2nd July 1956 in Shoeburyness.Essex A.K.A. The Guvnor or Big Al. He is married to Sallyann with 2 children, Jack & Sharlie . His first guitar was bought by his Grandad when he was only 6 years old. He taught him to play "Clementine” on single strings, it was 3/4 size acoustic with really heavy strings & an action that required the use of your feet as well as your fingers to fret the notes! “I can still remember his favorite saying - persevere & practice” “ The Shadows had a huge influence on Alan wanting to be a guitarist. ” In my early years I remember their appearance's on shows like, Thank Your Lucky Stars, Crackerjack & Sunday Night at the London Palladium - they looked so cool in their mohair suites & they played REAL Fender guitars”. “Hank made it look so effortless to play without looking & not missing any notes!, I was hooked & wanted to be the next famous guitar hero & play just like him” "Chuck Berry,Elvis,Gene Vincent, Eddy Cochran & Buddy Holly all had their influences on my musical direction.To sum it up I just love playing that rock'n roll music"
